Örebro Castle It is a magnificent edifice that has been restored for use as the country Governor’s head-quarters. Although it has originally been constructed in the late 13th Century, but the most what saw was built 300 years later. It was surrounded by a lake and a garden. This castle is located in the middle of the Örebro city.

Alfred Nobel’s Museum - In this museum, I was able to see his laboratory and mansion and I gathered the under mentioned facts.

Alfred Nobel – (1833 -1896), Swedish Chemist, Engineer, Inventor and Industrialist, patented a detonator for highly unstable nitro-glycerine in 1862. He made the remarkable discovery to remain an explosive substance. This became known as dynamite.

As a very wealthy industrialist, he made a lasting impression that is Nobel’s last will created the annual Nobel Prizes from 1901 in Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Literature and Peace, to be awarded to those who had benefited mankind the most in the preceding year. A sixth prize, for economics was added in 1969.
